Link Page

What is a link page? It is a page that you allow other webmasters to place a link on, in exchange for putting your link on their website.

By exchanging links with other webmasters you are increasing your link popularity. In step 2 we already started increasing link popularity by building mirror pages using my special template that automatically links your domain even though you are mirroring an affiliate webpage. The more unique web addresses linking to you, the higher the ranking!

Make it very easy for someone to link to you. People are in general lazy. So the easier, the better. Create a text link and a banner link with the HTML codes pre-made with a form like the ones I use at ClayParker.Net. Here is the code for textarea information.

Here is an example of a text link:
Get a FREE Merchant Account With The Universal Office!

This is the HTML syntax that created the hyperlink and is
what you would put in the form for your linking partner to copy,
<a href="http://genievirtualoffice.com" target="_blank"> Get a FREE Merchant Account With The Universal Office!</a>

Now you need a banner ad. If you do not have a banner creation piece of software, just do a search for "free online banner makers". There are several to choose from and you can make a banner easily. Here is an example of a banner ad:

ahhh..The Magic of Keywords!

This is how to make a banner or image an active link. The <a href=" is the beginning syntax that creates the active link. You put the URL of the web page that you want your visitor to go to right after the quotation mark. Be sure to put a quotation mark after the URL is inserted. Next you want to have the page open in a new browser. So next make a space, then put: Target="_blank">
Your code should now look like this: <a href="http://your-url.com" target="_blank">
Now we need to make the banner or image appear and when clicked on, take your visitor to the URL we want them to go to. Immediatly after the above code put: <img src=" put the url of the image right after the quotation mark. Put another quotation mark at the end of the image URL and then the put a space and the alt tag, then the greater than symbol. alt="Keyword"> .
Now your syntax should look like this:
<a href="http://your-url.com" target="_blank"><img src="your-image-url.com"alt="Keyword">
Finally you have to close the active link. So the final syntax to add would be: </a>. If you don't, everything that comes after your banner on your webpage becomes an active link. Always use an alt tag when you use a graphic. You can put keywords in it to increase your keyword count and again, get higher rankings in the search engines. Place your cursor over the banner above and you will see the alt tag appear. (I know this was a long explanation, but you need to learn this type of information.) Below is what your final syntax should look like:
<a href="http://your-url.com" target="_blank"><img src="your-image-url.com"alt="Keyword"></a>

Now I know what you are thinking! Okay Clay, I have a linkpage, how do I get other webmasters to link to me? The answer to that question is "I don't know!" ... Just throwing in a little humor!

Here's the answer. Do a key word search for sites that you think would compliment yours if they were linked to you and vice versa. For example: If you sell golf clubs and you find a site that sells golf gloves, you would compliment each other. Copy their logo or banner that they have on their site. Place that banner on your link page (make sure it is hyperlinked to his/her main page).

Get the email address from his/her website and send them an email. Tell them you would like to help increase their link popularity on the search engines and at the same time enhance yours also. Let them know that your site compliments theirs and you are not a competitor (send your webpage URL with the email so they can look at your site).

Tell him/her that you have placed a link on your linkpage for them and would appreciate them putting yours on their site. (Send your banner link code with the email.) At the same time mention that if they do exchange links with you, upon verification that your link is on their website you will give them a FREE 5 line ad in your newsletter and give them a source for great leads. (iMarketOnline)

Do you think they will refuse an offer like that? NO WAY! After they put your link up, send them your URL to place the ad and give them your link to iMarketOnline letting them know they get free fresh biz op leads everymonth!

Now, think about what we just did. We got a link and probably a commission! Everyone needs good leads. Not bad for a few minutes work.

Now call them right after you get notification of their sign up into iMarketOnline. This is the beginning of relationship marketing! Just introduce yourself, let them know you specialize in helping others earn an income on the Internet. Let him/her know you will be getting back in touch with them from time to time to see if you can assist them in any way to earn a better income. With a couple of contacts you will probably find out they aren't earning the money they really want to make. Because of the relationship you are building with them, more than likely they will join one of your programs or purchase a product from you.

Are you starting to see how this is coming together yet? Pretty soon, you are going to wonder how you ever got along without your own Marketing Center! Can you believe it? A simple Linkpage can actually make you money! This is impossible to do without having your own domain and website.

Plan of action for this section:

  • At the top of your link page template (linkpage.html) put the caption "Link to Us". Underneath that caption say "Place our banner on your website, use our contact page to let us know you have done it, send me your banner and link information in the same email and I will place your banner on this link page." Under this say "Here is what our banner will look like." Now make a banner and place it right under that statement. Right under the banner say "Copy and paste the following code into your webpage." Use the form code from paragraph 3 on this page to display your hyperlinked banner under this statement!
  • Get Your iMarketOnline system if you haven't already.
  • Start looking for webmasters to link to, when your Marketing Center is ready.
  • Go hug a child, call a friend or grab your mate. Things are looking up!
