Tips and Tricks
- Always use the no-cache meta tag so your visitors always see any changes made to your web pages. <META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">. Also, don't forget the robots.txt file.
- Within your meta tags we have a re-visit tag. If your pages do not change at all each month in size, you will not be re-indexed. Adjust the size of your page monthly using the line break syntax. Add a few one month, take away a few the next month.
- Do not submit your web pages to search engines more than once every two months. The exception to this rule is when you add new content to the site.
- Schedule your day and map out your time schedule with a to-do list every evening for the next day and follow it. Don't budget too much time for simple tasks. Remember, the job will expand to the time allotted!
- Don't be afraid to ask advice and assistance if you need it. Remember the saying: "Don't cut your nose off to spite your face"? This is the true meaning of the statement:
- "Egotism is the opium that life delivers to deaden the pain of mediocrity!"
- Set up a monthly advertising and acquisition budget that increases in proportion to your income.
- Use the ad tracking feature that is in the iMarketOnline system to see which ads are pulling the best for you.
- Never promote a product or program when advertising. Promote a FREE service to get better results and data bases. Follow up on these leads with your product or program.
- Give extremely good customer service. Answer all emails and inquiries quickly.
- The more pay options you have, the more business you will get. Make your site convenient for someone to purchase from you.
- Always keep full contact information on your web page to build trust.
- Take advantage of autoresponders and other software that will make your business life easier. Create a Frequently Asked Questions page if needed.
- Use alt tags and dimension tags in all graphics. The pages will load quicker and the alt tags with keywords will help you with the search engines.

- You may have noticed a larger than normal white space just under "Internet Marketing Made Easy" at the top of this page and just before Tips and Tricks. Right after the "y!" in the word easy, place your cursor and left click, then hold. Just like you are going to copy something, move your cursor down to the title. Do you see the small blue line? Those are keywords. If you have pages that you can allow this small white space, do the same thing I did here. I set the font size to 0 and the font color to the same color as the background. You can't see them without trying to copy the page, but the search engines see them and give me credit for content matching my keywords and description. Here is the syntax to do this with the font color being white (#FFFFFF).
<p style="font-family:verdana;font-weight:normal;font-size:0px;color:#FFFFFF;">Keywords,keywords</p>
